Whilst it is not anticipated that the effects of Cyclone Trevor will impact greatly on the Daly River, we will look at the river conditions early next week to decide if there is a need to have a contingency plan for the round. Below is the Round 2 information as it stands.

Daly River Round 2 – 2019

Round 2 of the 2019 Top End Barra Series will be held at Daly River over the weekend of the 30th & 31st March 2019

The Round 2 Scorecard will be sent out on Thursday 28th in the afternoon by email to enable people travelling down earlier to have it on hand. The scorecard will also be available on the website for download on Thursday.

Please show respect to all other users on the water as there may be a lot of other anglers on the river during the weekend.

Best of luck to everyone during Round 2.

Boundaries:

You can fish from Clear Creek to a point 10 klms upstream of the old Daly River Crossing (roughly 13.49.50 S & 130.44.07 E). The upstream of the crossing has been introduced as a trial in 2019 and as a result of requests from some competitors in 2018.

Cautions:  Please stay safe on the river, look out for stumps, sandbars and rockbars when travelling.

Scoring:

Fishing is from 6am Saturday until 6pm Sunday.  Results for Round 2 to be in by 5pm Monday 1st April unless a prior arrangement has been made with Ross.

Please use the upload results tab on the www.tebs.fish website.

If you do experience any difficulty with uploading your fish to the website, please contact Rossco at ross@tebs.fish

The results on the web will be provisional until they have been checked. The final Round 2 scores will be confirmed by Friday 5th April.

Lures: It would be great if you could put the effort into telling us what lures your fish were caught on when uploading your images in the comments sections as this would be helpful feedback to send back to our lure sponsors.

Photographing Fish.

When photographing your fish on your measure device ensure the mouth is closed and the round card is next to the fish. Clear photos make it easier for point score verification. Fish will be adjusted down by scorers accordingly if mouth is opened.

Photos and Comments:

Any interesting comments coming out of the weekend are welcome. Photos of people catching fish, boats out on the water, action shots, wildlife and people holding fish are all important to us to provide to Alex Julius’ NT News column, end of year write  up, our web page and Facebook page. If you have taken a few good photos would you please email them with any comments to ross@tebs.fish on Monday.  Photos taken in high resolution format are the best for media. The deadline for Alex is Tuesday night.
